A Simple Gesture

My 84 year old oxygen toting Mom and I were shopping at the local supermarket today.  When we were leaving the store we were exiting not through the traditional automatic opening door but one that we needed to physically push open.  A man and his young son were entering through the same doors at the time we were leaving.  They entered first and we were about to exit when he told his son, “Hold on.”  and the father had his son hold the door open for us.  I was touched that this father was teaching him manners that seem non-existent from most people these days.
My being still glows from that simple but rare gesture.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear father, for raising your son to be a gentleman.

Love to see that! Parents who raise people who will love and be a blessing to society are awesome. Definitely the road less traveled.
